    Kylie frightened by Who

Can't she watch it from behind the sofa, like everyone else? Although she could easily hide behind a pouffe and leave the sofa for someone taller.

I was hoping the 'Bewitched' remake wouldn't go so far as use the actual character names. Couldn't they just take the archetypes and situations without making it a total clone?

At least over here we changed Alf Garrett to Archie Bunker, and Steptoe and Son to Fred and Lamont Sanford. Eddie Fitzgerald/Gerry Fitzgerald... bit of a wash there with 'Cracker'. Ooops - sorry we just stole Jane Carr outright.....

I'm guessing that the US remakes assumed that no one knew about the originals and were happy to Americanise. Bewitched, on the other hand, is pretty well known in the UK so everyone would know we'd arbitrarily changed the names. They'd also like to get as many people watching as possible by cashing in on the Bewitched name as well. Although given Sheridan Smith is in it and it's probably going to be on BBC3, it's unlikely that much of the targeted youth audience would know about it, now I think about it.

Which helps explains why US takes on Fawlty Towers were on a hiding to nothing (see also: Brighton Belles).

That Sex and the City trailer is crappy. I want more than Carrie in a wedding dress please.
