Have you seen the RT site story? They currently have Smith and Jones down for a 19:55 start. Which seems a bit mad for a show designed for a broad family audience.

The previous timeslot on the RT site is a 6:10pm-7:55pm "TBA", which suggests it'll be a feature film -- maybe a major premiere, to make a full evening of family entertainment.

It may be a spoiling tactic, of course -- the final Mar 31 schedules don't need to be declared for a while yet, and this may just be a way of getting other schedulers confused.

"The show has survived the departures of both Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, but it couldn't outlive its re-creator."

Course it bloody could, given the right showrunner (ie, not Chris Chibnall).

    "A sequel to 300?"

301? But seriously, Frank Miller Must Be Stopped. It's a shame that Sin City gave him a new lease of life just as he blew the final sanity-gaskett in his brain. He's even more batshit-rightwing-loony than that bloke who does 24.

    "Stanley Tucci joins ER"

Eeeeexcellent. We need more Stan on our TV. Hope he's not another ER cartoon baddie surgeon, even though the current tiny camp bald nasty surgeon is fun.

You can always catch Stanley in 3Lbs on BBC1. I think it's on episode two now, so that's five left to go. Can't remember what day it's on.

    Yep, definitely NOT Chris Chibnall.

Frank Miller: He's even more batshit-rightwing-loony than that bloke who does 24.
Awh, he really has flipped the loop.

Re. the DW start time - from what I can tell, Any Dream Will Do (the How Do You Solve A Problem Like Joseph show) also starts on 31st. So while that may take up an hour and a half of Saturday night, my guess is that DW will end up placed nearer its traditional timeslot, and ADYD will be split into two parts. I guess we'll find out when the final schedules get firmed up; I'd also expect official confirmation at Wednesday's press night.

How Do You Solve A Problem Like Joseph?

Tie him up and sell him to the Egyptians. Next!

So they've had "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria" show; they're about to start up one about the character Joseph....

Maybe the next one should be about casting Jesus in "Godspell" or "Jesus Christ Superstar".

It would make for a great marketing promo for a combined boxed set: "Jesus, Maria, and Joseph!"
