  • There's a German version of Life on Mars on the way. If you look carefully, there's a spoiler in one of the article's quotes that gives away the entire reason why Sam is in 1973. I don't think he meant to say what he did...
  • Sky is planning a new, free digital terrestrial TV service. Only problem: it doesn't work with Freeview boxes. Sounds attractive, no?
  • A preview of new ITV drama Instinct

I heard RS talking about The WW on radio the other day; he wasn't quite as explicit there as in this article but I understand his frustration. That character shift was one of the key things I still hated about the last couple of seasons. As the series progressed the people involved on writing and production increasingly lost the sense of who these characters were, their inner consistency or inconsistencies and imposed stories on them almost regardless of past histories. Saddening.

I can understand a remake of Capricorn One, but Spies Like Us? (As long as they don't drag Paul McCartney into it again.)

As for Heroes, who wants to bet it gets a cover story in the Guide with Saturday's Guardian?

Interesting. Possible even. But it took them ages to put Minoriteam on the cover and Heroes is going to air on SciFi, so I suspect their digital credentials may not be good enough for an instant Heroes preview.

True, but the lovely Hayden et al are on the cover of TV & Satellite Week this week (they don't usually do Sci-Fi) and it's already been mentioned elsewhere in the Grauniad. If not now, when BBC2 starts it. (I really hope they aren't going to be showing every episode five nights a week...)
