Please, please explain the Green Wing thing to me

Posted on April 2, 2006 | 3 comments |

I really want to like Green Wing. I like the cast. I like the writers. Everyone seems to like it.

But I've watched three episodes of the first series and Friday's episode of the latest series and I've barely laughed once. I simply don't find it funny. I must be missing something. So could someone please, please, please explain to me what I'm missing, so I can join in?

Thanks.

No, I'm with you, I've never found it funny either. Tries too hard, maybe. Thinks it's funnier than it is. Is it an hour long? I can't remember. If it is, maybe that's the problem. Half an hour of jokes in an hour of TV.

I adore it. Can't explain why. Just do. Isn't that the thing about humour though, it's an either you get it or you don't thing? I've sat stony-faced through enough Peter Kay to convince me of that.
